The 2014 NIBROC Festival will celebrate the return of kids-only events and games, an impressive musical entertainment lineup, numerous sports tournaments and athletic events and even, for the first time in its history, a beer garden.
Recent Corbin High School graduate Hayley Abbott remembers years ago when she was a little girl going to the Miss NIBROC Pageant and dreaming about one day wearing the crown. Her aunt won and was named Miss NIBROC when Hayley was only four-years-old.
An audit of the Whitley County Fiscal Court just released by the Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts shows the county spent slightly more money than it took in during the 2013 fiscal year, but otherwise said the county was properly watching over the taxpayers’ money.
The musical lineup for the 2014 NIBROC Festival is now set, and it includes an eclectic blend of bands and performers that truly offer something for everyone.
