  A Whitley County homicide trial, which was scheduled to start Wednesday morning, has been delayed until summer.

 Laurel County regained the Cleanup Cup from Whitley County, turning out more volunteers, but it was Laurel Lake and the local environment that were the big winners in the 26^th annual Laurel Lake Cleanup Saturday.

A Corbin woman who pleaded guilty to an amended count of second-degree assault in connection with 2013 car wreck, was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison.
