A popular Whitley County High School senior, severely injured in a three-car crash on the Corbin Bypass Dec. 17, passed away Thursday night at a Lexington hospital.

A lawsuit by a Richmond liquor store operator seeking to invalidate the issuance of package liquor licenses in Corbin was dismissed by a circuit court judge earlier this month.

A Michigan woman has been indicted in federal court on charges that she had brought 850 Oxycodone pills, valued at approximately $32,000, to the Corbin Walmart which she intended to deliver to a drug dealer from Bell County and had a handgun in her possession at the time.
