Former Sheriff’s bookkeeper pleads guilty to embezzlement charge

A bookkeeper for former Whitley County Sheriff Lawrence Hodge admitted in federal court today that she assisted the sheriff in embezzling and laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars from the sheriff’s office.
